Gregg to tap Simpson as LG

 NASHVILLE, Ind.  - Democratic gubernatorial nominee John Gregg is expected to name Senate Minority Leader Vi Simpson to the ticket on Tuesday.

WISH-TV reported that Gregg has selected Simpson, just hours after Republican Mike Pence named State Rep. Sue Ellspermann to the GOP ticket.

The moves ensure that the third consecutive lieutenant governor will be a female.
