  • Grand says Holcomb will be adequately funded as he works on Pence money
“It’s all going to get worked out. It’s not a problem and it’s not going to be a problem. Eric Holcomb is going to have plenty of money to run this race. A fair amount of it will come from the Mike Pence campaign. The other piece is there’s a lot of money being raised and people are really energized about the race.” - Indianapolis attorney Bob Grand, who is temporarily advising the Eric Holcomb gubernatorial campaign, to Howey Politics Indiana on whether the campaign will be able to tap into Gov. Mike Pence’s $7.4 million war chest. Politico reported that FEC rules would prevent much of the money from migrating to Holcomb. Terre Haute attorney Jim Bopp Jr., called the dilemma “a complicated question.” Grand would not say how much of the Pence funds would end up with Holcomb, but he said that the GOP funding network would kick in.
