  • Tony Cook elected to replace Rep. Turner
“I was surprised. I didn’t expect that to happen. I had thought about running in 2016, so when this opportunity presented itself, I decided to run for the seat. I’m excited and ready to go.” - Former Hamilton Heights School Supt. Tony Cook, who was elected by HD32 precinct committee members to replace State Rep. Eric Turner, who resigned the seat shortly after winning reelection. Cook was the only Republican to run in the caucus. More than 20% of current General Assembly members have been elected via caucus instead of by voters.
